Passion hits me
On the side
Of my emotions
All I can do is check for bruises

great work 🙂
this is stunningly beautiful and I mean that ❤
Great photo to go with this post. 🙂 If your passion isn’t fulfilled…keep trying!
There’s no escape from passion!

I love this
Forget the bruises. You are getting stronger. Hit back harder…. For you are still holding onto your passion 🙂
I write the poem first and then begin a search for a photo that fits any one of its themes. This can take a long time. Thanks. Unfortunately, the published poems don’t and will not have the images.
I am curious; do you start with a poem or a picture? The picture you chose is always so perfect for your poem.
Beautiful little piece. Thank you
I really like this, the words are really powerful.
Very very nice!
So few words, but definitely a powerful poem. Nice work!!

What’s a passion worth chasing for if it does not come with bruises? 😊
You and I…. We are alike.
twas very powerful..
i absolutely love this
Short, sweet and a direct shot to the point. I must learn how to say more with less words. 🙂
Love the picture!!! Talking of guts and passion, the picture reminds me of the passion fruit hanging up there so high but no matter for optimistic eyes.
Thanks, I’ll consider your suggestion.
Really loved this one!
That picture is an amazing find. Full of emotion–frustration and hope. Lo I like your poem. Left me wanting more. One tiny suggestion: On this side of my emotions (If it doesn’t change your meaning).
consider being lucky that passion hits , otherwise it is not a passion
Yes, passion can be ruthless. 😉
i am here the little boy saying: “Some day!”… this is great work and what a great photo to accompany it…
Bittersweet musing !
Interesting piece Elan
