Loved it. Elizabeth is right, that line is very powerful. So much beauty lost, nature is so energising, electricity? Not so much.
Sweet! Very nice!

Good idea! I’ll help you! 🙂
Well, well, well I’ll start scouting for the cracks then I’ll get to the planting … all is possible! 🙂
I like that sentiment – planting in the cracks. Lovely!
That’s beautiful. And now I have tears in my eyes. *sniff*
I love this one … Such strong, evocative images.
Go you! 🙂
Tinged with sadness and beautiful.
“On this same asphalt world
we paved together
To quell the kicked-up Earth”
My heart quivered as I read this.
You paint a picture with words. Beautifully done.
Wow. I think I’m gonna read this over and over again until my eyes beg for mercy. Me likey.
Thanks! There’s a few things packed into this poem.
Loved the packed in bits- asphalt/ paved was immediately arresting- the imagery juxtaposed in a haunting, lyrical word dance.
The imagery is very exquisite planting a fruit of irony to perfection. Anand Bose from India.
