I’ve never been skiing. My family raised me on camping and hiking. So, at this point and time, I hike and I run trails. When I hike, I take a DSLR with me. When I run, I take a little point and shoot that I carry in my hand. The images on my blog are taken on one or the other. Gold Lake is a bit further south than I usually go. But it looks beautiful.

I’ve never been there, but I’ve been to lots of other lakes in Oregon, some in the winter. Do you ever ski, or do you just hike? I’ve gone cross country skiing at gold lake a few times.

Thanks so much. That’s Lost Lake, a very popular destination in Oregon during the summer. but during the winter, few venture there, except for me. On a clear day, Mt. Hood would appear directly behind those hills and mist.
