Here is where my deepest heart lies. These writings emanate from the many times when my passion hits the bottom and other times where it seems to fly on wings. To solace myself, I go to the woods on deep forest trails, pray to waterfalls, look over valleys, and dip my hands in the waters of springs, hoping to soothe myself. Forgive me if I get angry; for at times I’m just plain mad at the world.

She’s a tangent, planting words in wild rows that release constant seeds, adrift, landing upon her skin, a skin she reads to herself. Her heartbreak, an apocalypse of reincarnations, dust on the floor, dry paper, bits, clumps, wheat lost from the chaff, molded to… Continue Reading “Love Letters”

Her makeup was a postmodernist painting, swashes of pinks and blues, wayward paint upon skin. When she put it on, she grinned, but didn’t smile. Inside, her voice was a thunder. Shook things. Came from her bones, resonated outwards, circles, waves. I imagine it’s… Continue Reading “Shelly”

Static binaries numbed inside the liminal As if sound is a scrape bunched into barren elements Voiced structures—definitions in sand Drawn with sticks—hopscotch on a playground To know the tides—their decomposition To know their fragments—their never-ending versions Can’t be claimed as one or… Continue Reading “Fluid”

We sleep upon the rough carpet Distracted—insomnia twins Twirling threads and frays Floorboards still heard Beneath our pressed ears Though muffled—small creaks Of planks, bare, exposed in spots Revealing coats of wax and stain Covered in fresh oversleep Our hands scuffed,… Continue Reading “Texture”
